Travel giant Thomas Cook has been named the UK’s Top Travel Call Centre for its customer service email communications. Out-performing a number of other leading competitors in the UK’s biggest ever call centre benchmarking exercise,Thomas Cook’s Sales Centres in Peterborough and Falkirk came top of the Entertainment, Leisure & Travel sector for their e-mail communications. The study, which was commissioned by the UK’s Top 50 Call Centres for Customer Service, was organised by Call Centre Focus magazine to raise customer service standards in the call centre industry. The research consisted of 18,500 mystery shopping enquiries to more than 50 of the UK’s leading call centres. “Our call centres not only provide a valuable booking channel for customers wanting a personalised service and expert travel advice but also prove invaluable to customers during unprecedented incidents outside of our control, such as the volcanic ash cloud grounding flights in April,” said Joanna Wild, Managing Director of Sales for Thomas Cook UK & Ireland. “We’re extremely proud that our sales centre teams in Peterborough and Falkirk have proven to be the top 20 in the country.”
