MSC Cruises has dropped Bahrain from its new Arabian Gulf itinerary following the continued violent protests in the country. The cruise line will replace the port call with Ras al-Khaimah for the 2011/12 season, which depart from Dubai and Abu Dhabi. In addition, MSC has cancelled further calls to Alexandria and Tunis (La Goulette) until spring 2012 for the MSC Lirica itineraries. It has not been announced which destinations will replace the ports.
