Gulf Air has signed an agreement with Bahrain Real Estate Company (Edamah) to build a multi million dollar, world-class hangar at Bahrain International Airport. The Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation has reported that the agreement, signed by Gulf Air’s CEO, Bjorn Naf, and Edamah CEO Ma’amoon Al Moayyed, is part of Bahrain’s wider ambition to develop itself a centre for aircraft maintenance.
The hangar, which will be able to accommodate three modern wide-body aircrafts at one time, will reportedly be complete by 2011.
