With over a million journey looks-ups and a quarter of a million individual downloads recorded since entering the iTunes app store last month, it’s no wonder thetrainline.com<http://www.thetrainline.com/> app is still a firm favourite in the free travel app download chart, now holding No.3 position.
Since launching in October thetrainline.com app has, on average, been downloaded over 7,500 times a day by iPhone train users. Its clever features, quirky functions and ease-of-use has helped to win the hearts of UK leisure travellers planning journey’s in advance and commuters looking for their next train home. “…If that wasn’t enough to sell the free app to you, they’ve gone and included a Twitter function that allows you to tweet fellow passengers for fun or just to pass time. Thetrainline.com puts it as bringing travellers and passengers together, thoughtful of them wasn’t it? So if you’re in UK or plan to go there, you now know the app to get.” (Jdsix.com)
