Changi Airport offers Singapore tours The new City Lights Tour focuses on Marina BaySingapore’s Changi Airport and Singapore Airlines (SIA) have joined forces to offer relaunch the ‘Free Singapore Tour’ for transiting passengers.First introduced in 1987, the tour is offered to passengers with long layovers at Changi. The new tour offers two new itineraries. The ‘Heritage Tour’, which is available four times a day, features trips to the Colonial District, Merlion Park, Chinatown and Little India. In addition, a new evening ‘City Lights Tour’ will take guests to the Marina Bay waterfront, taking in attractions such as the Gardens by the Bay, Marina Bay Sands and the Singapore Flyer.“We are very excited about the new tour itineraries which have been developed following a request for proposals from the inbound travel sector,” said Peh Ke Wei, Changi Airport Group’s Vice President for Passenger Development. ”We have received very positive feedback from our passengers about the tour through the years, but with the changing tourism landscape in Singapore, it is an opportune time to refresh the programme. At Changi, we believe very much in providing our passengers with the best experience, and we hope that those who have gone on the tour will want to return to Singapore for a longer stay soon.”The Free Singapore Tour is available for passengers of any airline with layovers in excess of five hours.
