Rendezvous Hospitality Group (RHG) has renamed its hotels in Adelaide and Melbourne as part of its company-wide repositioning strategy.
Rendezvous Hotel Adelaide has become Rendezvous Grand Hotel Adelaide, while Rendezvous Hotel Melbourne has been renamed Rendezvous Grand Hotel Melbourne.
The renaming of the Adelaide and Melbourne hotels follows the recent rebadging of RHG’s two Brisbane hotels – Rendezvous Hotel Brisbane Anzac Square and Rendezvous Studio Hotel Brisbane on George.
The Rendezvous Grand Hotel Melbourne has also undergone a refurbishment. The hotel’s public spaces and rooms are being upgraded, with the first 30 new guest rooms open for booking in July. The function rooms have also been renovated with new carpet, curtains and digital signage.
RHG’s entire portfolio of 13 hotels will be rebranded to Rendezvous Grand Hotels, Rendezvous Hotels and Rendezvous Studio Hotels over the course of 2012.
Rendezvous Grand Hotel Singapore was the first to be renamed earlier this year following a refurbishment. This was followed by the Rendezvous Grand Hotel Auckland, while the former Marque Hotel Christchurch has also been renamed Rendezvous Hotel Christchurch and will reopen at a later date having suffered damage during the 2011 earthquake.
“Our program to strengthen our market position and unify our hotels is well underway and this heralds the way for the continued growth of our group,” said RHG’s CEO, Eric Teng. “Other hotels within Australia will be unveiling their new names in the coming weeks and months.”
