Travel 2’s training academy goes live
By Amanda Greenwood, 23 July 2012, Monday 10:50 AM
Travel 2 has launched its online training academy with tourist boards, airlines and product suppliers.
Its T2 Academy includes training courses specialising in long-haul destinations that take 25 minutes to complete and so far includes 15 modules including Tourism Australia, Visit California and Air New Zealand. British Airways and SeaWorld are also due to launch on the site soon.
“Everything we do at Travel 2 is geared towards helping agents, and this training initiative further strengthens our support of the trade,” said Gordon McCredie, sales and marketing director at Travel 2. “We spent a long time gathering agent feedback as to how we could best provide training to their staff. What came through loud and clear was supplying it as bite-size courses, keeping it relevant and offering great incentives to reward increased knowledge”.
Agents will be rewarded with points for each module they complete, with bonus opportunities available to 31 August 2012. The points can be exchanged for Capital Bonds, gathering in value the longer the agent waits to convert them. A ‘platinum status’ is to be added so agents can earn extra benefits such as fam trip places and event invitations.
