Design hotel opens in Canberra

A contemporary design-focused hotel has opened in the Australian capital Canberra.

East Hotel is positioned as a 4.5-star “design and lifestyle hotel”, located between the retail and restaurant hubs of Manuka and Kingston. The six-storey hotel has 140 apartment-style rooms designed for business guests and families; for example the two-bedroom suites include a ‘Kid’s Cubby’ with bunk beds and games consoles.

Hotel facilities include a restaurant, bar and deli, as well as a 24-hour gym and laundry. Staff at the hotel also offer local information such as cycling maps.

“We are bringing something fresh to the Canberra market at East Hotel,” said the hotel’s owner, Dan Bisa. “We are passionate about creating a happy, happening precinct that showcases the personality representing a side to Canberra that many may not have experienced.”

East Hotel is managed by Bisa Hotels.
