BA’s Tams to take on charity challenge

British Airways’ head of UK & Ireland sales Richard Tams is to commence a 30,000 mile journey next month to raise money for Comic Relief.
Tams, accompanied by management consultant and oneworld top-tier frequent flyer Andrew Solum, is to try and make it around the world through oneworld partners in seven days.
He aims to raise £15,000 for its charity partner Comic Relief, starting on 15 September from New York.
Tams said the travel trade had already been “really supportive” and had already reached £8,000.
Tams and Solum’s planned route
15 September: New York – Chicago – Tokyo Narita
16 September: Tokyo – Hong Kong – Kuala Lumpur – Singapore
18 September: Singapore – London – Amman
19 September: Amman – Frankfurt – Berlin
20 September: Berlin – Frankfurt – Madrid – Moscow
21 September: Moscow – St Petersburg – Helsinki
22 September: Helsinki – London – New York
