By Mark Elliott, 20 September 2012, Thursday 7:10 AM
AirAsia is continuing its expansion into China with the launch of flights from Bangkok to X’ian – the capital of Shaanxi province and home of the Terracotta Warriors.
From 16 November 2012, Thai AirAsia will offer daily Airbus A320 flights on the route. Flights depart Bangkok’s Don Mueang airport at 0930 every day, returning from Xi’an at 1525. It will become Thai AirAsia third new route into China this year, following the launch of services to Chongqing and Wuhan.
“AirAsia is very excited to launch our third new route in China this year. After the recent launch of Bangkok-Wuhan, there has been tremendous positive feedback and demand for connectivity to China,” said Tassapon Bijleveld, CEO of Thai AirAsia.
