Peninsula Bangkok adds tuk tuk
By Mark Elliott, 9 October 2012, Tuesday 1:22 AM
The Peninsula Bangkok now has its very own tuk tuk.
The brand new, customised three-wheeler comes complete with complimentary Wi-Fi, drinking water and cold towels for guests, and is painted in Peninsula’s signature green livery, with tan upholstery.
Guests can experience the tuk tuk when they enroll in the hotel’s Thai cooking class – one of the cultural and sightseeing tour options offered through The Peninsula Academy Programme. Guests will be taken by tuk tuk to buy ingredients from local markets to be used in their dishes.
“No visit to Bangkok is complete without a trip in a tuk tuk and now, with the arrival of The Peninsula Bangkok’s very own customised tuk tuk, hotel guests can enjoy this exhilarating experience right from the hotel’s doorstep and with a touch of luxury thrown in to the ride” said the hotel’s general manager, Nicolas Beliard.
The tuk tuk joins The Peninsula Bangkok’s existing limousine fleet of 10 BMW 730Lds and two Rolls-Royce Silver Spurs.
