Transport minister Simon Burns is to speak at this year’s GTMC conference, it has been announced.
Newly-appointed Burns will make the keynote speech at the conference later this year at the Wyndham Grand Hotel, Chelsea Harbour.
“The GTMC is delighted to have secured the Minister of Transport Simon Burns MP, to speak at our London conference – especially so soon after his appointment in the recent reshuffle,” said Ajaya Sodha, chairman of GTMC on the news. “The GTMC policy is firmly behind aviation expansion in the South East and in the interests of speed a third runway or mixed mode flights at Heathrow. The Government has launched the Davies Commission on aviation capacity and we will be looking for the Minister to provide some more detail on this and what can be done in the short-term to assist business.”
Other speakers at the conference include Dhiren Fonseca from Expedia; Dean Forbes of KDS and Oliver Woodmansee of Avis.
