Paul Gauguin reveals 2013 guest speakers

Paul Gauguin has revealed the line-up of guest speakers which are to take part in lectures onboard its 2013 itineraries.
The line operates two vessels – the Paul Gauguin and Tere Moana – the first of which is the longest serving vessel sailing within the South Pacific.
The guest speakers will range from freedivers to chefs and extreme artists who will give talks and presentations in their specialist field.
In January champion freediver Herbert Nitsch will be on the 12 January Cook Islands & Society Islands cruise; the 23 January Society Islands & Tuamotus cruise; and the 2 February cruise from Tuamotus back to the Society Islands. Nitsch has set 32 world records in freediving and will provide lectures and demonstrations.
Other speakers will include extreme artist Jean Francois Detaille; Diane Moore, president of Paul Gauguin Cruises and Richard Bailey, chairman of the line; winemaker Daniel Baron; coral experts Dr. Chris Roelfsema and Diane Kleine; chef Guy Buffet. There will also be presentations made by astronaut Jean-Francois Clervoy; marine ecologist Cecile Gaspar; marine geologist Yves Lancelot; chef Alan Wong; and whale and dolphin expert Michael Poole.
