KAPIL CHOPRA has become the new President of The Oberoi Group, responsible for Oberoi and Trident Hotels in India. With 19 years’ experience, Chopra most recently served as Oberoi’s Executive Vice President, and played a key role in opening the Oberoi and Trident in Gurgaon.
WILSON YONG has been named as Singapore Airlines’ new General Manager for the UK & Ireland. A Malaysian national, Yong arrives at SIA’s London office from Seoul, where he spent two years as the airline’s General Manger for Korea. He has also worked for SIA in Japan.
PAUL ADAMS has been named Chief Operating Officer of US-based aircraft engine-maker, Pratt & Whitney. Adams brings 30 years’ experience to the newly-created role. Most recently, he led the Pratt & Whitney’s Engineering and Operations.
SHEILA McCANN has been announced as the new General Manager of the Chiva-Som Resort & Spa in Hua Hin, Thailand. Ms McCann has a 30-year career in the spa and wellness sectors, most recently as Corporate Spa Director for an Asian luxury hotel group.
LUKE HARRIS has been announced as the new Resident Manager of the Novotel Citygate Hong Kong. Harris has been employed with Accor for seven years, including managerial roles in Australia, New Zealand and China. He handled the opening of the Pullman Anshan Time Square.
AGUS SUANANDA has been appointed Hotel Manager of the Centra Taum Seminyak Bali. An Indonesian national, Agus has more than 20 years’ experience, most recently as General Manager at Fivelements Puri Ahimsa, a five-star boutique hotel in Bali.
AUSTIN WATKINS has been named as the new Director of Marketing at the Four Seasons Hotel Singapore. Watkins is no stranger to Four Seasons, and arrives in Singapore from the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills where he was Director of Sales & Marketing.
MANDY TRAN has been appointed Director of Sales & Marketing at the Sheraton Nha Trang Hotel & Spa. Ms Tran, who becomes Sheraton’s first native Vietnamese DOSM, has eight years’ experience. She is a graduate of the Economics Faculty at Vietnam National University.
VINEET MAHAJAN has been named as Director of Sales & Marketing for the Ayana Resort & Spa Bali, overseeing the launch of the new MICE resort, Rimba. Mahajan most recently served as Complex Director of Sales & Marketing for Westin Gurgaon and Westin Sohna resorts.
MEG KOFFEL has been appointed as Princess Cruises’ new Public Relations Manager for Australia & New Zealand. Ms Koffel has 10 years’ experience in PR, marketing and events, including more than four years as spokesperson for Intrepid Travel.
