De Vere has announced it will make its debut in Scotland soon after securing sites for three new properties.
The hotel group is to build hotels in Glasgow, Aberdeen and Edinburgh at a cost of GBP60 million under its Village Urban Resorts name.
The resorts have a ‘Black Box’ design focused on sleek rooms and technology offering (such as free WiFi) and have already been successful in Farnborough and Elstree. Each Scottish resort will feature a health and fitness centre; swimming pool; Starbucks and Victory Chop and Ale House.
“We don’t currently have any presence for the De Vere Village Urban Resorts brand in Scotland, but there are great opportunities for business here. It’s a booming market at the moment – with major events like the Commonwealth Games taking place, there’s an even greater demand for hotel accommodation,” said Robert Cook, CEO of De Vere.
