By Amanda Greenwood, 27 February 2013, Wednesday 9:23 AM
Etihad Airways has purchased Jet Airways’ three Heathrow slot pairings for US$70 million (GBP46m) as talks continue over a potential takeover.
The Indian carrier will continue to operate the flights as talks into Etihad’s further investment into the carrier continue.
The purchase is part of a sale and leaseback agreement and follows from the pair’s existing commercial relationship which included codesharing.
