Hilton launches Garden Inn brand in Southeast Asia
Hilton Worldwide has opened a new Hilton Garden Inn hotel in Hanoi, marking the brand’s debut in Southeast Asia.
The brand was first conceived in 1996 but took more than a decade to reach Asia. The region’s first Hilton Garden Inn was launched in the Indian capital New Delhi in 2009, and now the mid-priced concept has arrived in the Far East.
Located in the centre of Vietnam’s capital, close to Hoan Kiem Lake, the 11-storey Hilton Garden Inn Hanoi offers 86 rooms. Hilton Garden Inn Hanoi becomes only Hilton Worldwide’s second property in Vietnam, following the Hilton Hanoi Opera.
“Today’s announcement not only celebrates the first Hilton Garden Inn property in Southeast Asia but also the expansion of our footprint in Vietnam,” said Martin Rinck, Hilton’s president for Asia Pacific. “We are confident that Hilton Garden Inn Hanoi will be a preferred choice for local and international travellers looking for quality yet affordable accommodation in Hanoi.”
Like all Hilton Garden Inn properties, the Hanoi hotel is designed to offer convenience and good service to its guests. The rooms will come equipped with the brand’s signature Garden Sleep System bed, which is designed to induce a deep sleep, along with ergonomically-designed desk chairs. The Hilton Garden Inn Hanoi’s business centre is open 24 hours and offer wireless printing from any laptop or PDA, while Wi-Fi is complimentary in all areas of the hotel, including guest rooms. There is also a 24-hour on-site convenience store selling a range of instant snacks or quick meals, which can be heated up in the guest’s in-room microwave.
Today there are approximately 560 hotels in operation across the world, with another 160 hotels in the development pipeline.
