Travel Counsellors has seen a 17% increase in business travel bookings driven by its concierge service, it has announced.
The homeworking company has furthered its share of business travel clients with its UK division up 20% for the year’s first quarter. It has attributed its success to its concierge service and extras, which includes having its Travel Counsellors as an in-destination contact for queries in the seven countries it operates in.
“It is no secret that margins in corporate travel are being squeezed more than ever, which is making life hard for many TMCs. More is being spent because travel is simply costing more. However this isn’t the case for us,” said Steve Byrne, managing director at Travel Counsellors.
“We’re continuing to buck the trend and this is because an increased number of corporate travellers are seeing the value in the extras we can provide via our concierge services. As a result our client base is growing,” he added.
