SKAI Holdings unveils US$1 billion Palm Jumeirah hotel project

SKAI Holdings unveiled plans for its new US$1bn hotel and furnished residences project on the Palm Jumeirah.
The development will be operated by Viceroy Hotel and Resorts. This would mark the Group’s foray into Dubai and second in UAE alongside the Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi. Construction has begun, with completion and grand opening slated for the last quarter of 2016.
Viceroy Dubai Palm Jumeirah will offer 481 large rooms and suites, and 221 signature Viceroy Residences. The location is situated at the base trunk of The Palm Jumeirah archipelago.
Kabir Mulchandani, CEO, SKAI Holdings said: “Viceroy Dubai Palm Jumeirah is a luxury urban beach resort in Dubai. It is a family retreat as well as an entertainment destination offering banqueting and business facilities.”
The hotel will feature services for a diverse group of business and leisure guests. The property will boast 10 restaurants along with a gourmet market and bakery. It will have wellness spa facilities including 10 treatment rooms with indoor and outdoor treatments for women and men. The resort will also have indoor fitness facilities and three separate outdoor swimming pools. In addition, there will be the beach club facilities with beach and sports activities, a children’s centre, library and relaxation lounge.
