Six trade unions have organised a three day walk-out in France from March 28 to protest against changes to working conditions. Portuguese pilots are due to strike from 26-31 March. Unite have also been in talks with its American counterparts to see what action can be taken against BA flights at United States airports.Sympathy strikes are banned in the UK but allowed in other countries such as France.”Anything we can do to support the British Airways staff in their strike will be done. We will be showing solidarity with our colleagues,” a union spokesperson told The Telegraph. The strikes will cause a serious blow to Easter getaways, although several airlines have pledged their support and services to BA.
