Boeing deliveries rise in Q3

The number of new commercial aircraft delivered by Boeing increased in the third quarter of 2010, compared to the same three-month period last year. In the July-September quarter, Boeing Commercial Airplanes delivered a total of 124 aircraft, up 9.7% from the 113 it delivered in Q3 2009. The single-aisle B737 model was again the best-seller, with 100 deliveries compared to 90 in the same period last year. Boeing also delivered 21 B777s and three B767s. Year-to-date, Boeing delivered 346 commercial aircraft - down 1.4% from the 359 deliveries in January-September 2009.
