Layana Resort & Spa, on the southern Thai island of Koh Lanta, is undergoing a major refurbishment.
The MBK Group will spend THB83 million (US$2.7m) on the project, which will see all public areas of the 51-room adults-only resort upgraded, including the lobby, spa and F&B outlets.
“The renovation enhances the timeless elegance of Layana Resort & Spa, with design elements that embody pure luxury,” said Stefan Heintze, the resort’s general manager. “Along with the refined experience awaiting guests, additional luxurious facilities that include a Salt Spa and two-bedroom Private Pool Villa, ensure that we are even further able to attend to the selective needs of every guest.”
As mentioned by Heintze, the Salt Spa will be launched as a part of the resort’s wellness centre, providing an area of salt massage treatments. Earlier this year the Layana’s six ocean deluxe and beachfront suites were refurbished while a new food and beverage outlet, the Sands Bar, was unveiled.
The resort has also upgraded its internet connection and launched a new online booking engine that can be accessed via mobile devices.
