GCAA conducts training in Latin America

The UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) recently concluded a training course on strategic planning in the civil aviation industry in Cali, Colombia. The event witnessed participation from 50 specialized attendees representing different member states of the Latin American Civil Aviation Commission (LACAC).
The three-day course aimed at covering all aspects related to strategic planning concepts in general and in particular, application of appropriate tools and techniques in driving an aviation regulatory organization through a complex environment. During the course, participants learned about various methods for planning and implementing business strategies through modeling the strategic planning processes
Laila Ali Bin Hareb Al Muhairi, executive director strategy and international affairs, GCAA, designed and drafted the course.
HE Saif Al Suwaidi, director general of GCAA, said: “The participation of GCAA reflects the role of the UAE in civil aviation worldwide. I am very proud that UAE is able to provide such high level courses developed by UAE national experts.”
The course saw the participation of representatives of civil aviation authorities in 11 Latin American countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Paraguay, Peru, Ecuador, the Dominican Republic and Uruguay.
