Tourism New Zealand’s UK office is to use a boost in marketing funds to promote the destination to luxury travellers.
An addition NZ$20 million in four years will be used to target the UK market as well as other key source markets.
Campaigns will focus on world-class accommodation, food and wine and New Zealand culture to attract luxury tourists.
Besides working with currently known luxury travel partners, the tourism board will also participate in shows such as Pure Life, ILTM Cannes and the Monaco Yacht Show.
The plan was unveiled at an event at London’s New Zealand House on Thursday with the country’s Prime Minster Rt Hon. John Key in attendance, who is also the Minister of Tourism.
