Air France is unveiling a new range of products and services for its economy class passengers.
To be rolled out in summer 2014, the new economy class cabin will feature a brand new seat offering more legroom, a new seat cushion, more comfortable headrests and a wider tray table. The seats will also come equipped with electric power sockets and headphones holders.
In the premium economy cabin, which launched in 2009, the existing seats will be equipped with new cushions and multi-position footrests.
In terms of in-flight entertainment, both economy and premium economy passengers will be offered wide, touch-screens monitors and more than 1,000 hours of on-demand music, movie and TV content.
The meal service will also be revamped with the addition of a second hot dish plus sweets and ice-cream, all presented on new tableware. For younger fliers, Ari France will offer plane-shaped cutlery and a new range of games.
The new economy products will be rolled out across Air France’s fleet of 44 Boeing 777s from summer 2014.
