STA Travel has opened a store in Cheltenham with sister company Bridge the World.
The dual-branded store is part of a strategy by the travel agency to open stores in the UK that are outside of its usual student roots.
Traditionally the agency has opened outlets in university towns and cities to capture its predominantly young clientele.
“We’ve chosen Cheltenham for our latest store because of its diverse population: it has a large student base, as well as a young professional and affluent and well-travelled demographic, this is why we’ve chosen it to be one of our dual-branded stores in the UK,” said STA’s sales director Jackie Knell.
The store will be managed by Arron Mitchell with a team of four agents.
Its Cheltenham opening comes after other launched in Plymouth and Shoreditch, London with other planned openings in Chester and Chelmsford this month, bringing STA’s total number of UK stores to 50.
