Two Surrey hotels in the Legacy Hotels & Resorts chain are to be given an upgrade as part of a GBP600,000 investment.
Legacy Thatcher’s Hotel in East Horsley will have 30 of its rooms updated under the programme, with its restaurant and lounge areas also due to be changed.
Meanwhile the Legacy Fanharm Hog’s Back Hotel will have its leisure club updated; a redecorated ballroom and new landscaped gardens.
Both hotels are being changed after moving from the Ramada brand to Legacy, and will also both receive free WiFi
To support the changes, Legacy has appointed Gerry McGee as regional operations manager and general manager of Legacy Thatcher’s, supported by Alan Heggie as regional sales manager.
Katie Walton will be GM at Legacy Thatcher’s with revenue manager Ana Freitas and HR manager Susan Leigh.
“We are determined to bring these hotels back to their former glory and to become a number one destination for meetings, weddings and social events as well as overnight stays for business and leisure guests in Surrey,” said McGee. “The Ramada signs have already been replaced with signs for Legacy Hotels and Resorts as we put our stamp on the properties in more ways than one.”
