FLASH floods at two waterfalls which killed 38 people in Thailand’s Trang Province on Sat have not effected tourist numbers visiting the region, according to local tour operators.
Chairman of the Trang Tourism Association, Vichai Rattamanee, said local tourism hasn’t suffered in the wake of the disaster as beaches and marine attractions are the most popular with visitors.
A flood warning system is currently being organised at each of Trang’s 16 popular waterfalls to avoid a repeat of Sat’s tragedy.
