Gulf Air, Oracle ink tech upgrade

Gulf Air has recently upgraded its Oracle e-Business suite to R12 using its in-house IT capabilities. The meeting was recently held between Gulf Air’s A/CEO Maher AlMusallam and ORACLE Corporation vice president Abdul Rahman Al Thehaiban and Gulf Air’s director of information technology Dr Jassim Haji.
The new upgrade ensures cost-savings for the airline. The airline will rely on its internal resources where their skills and capabilities to avoid cost of external parties’ involvement. The Oracle E-Business suite upgrade to R12, enables better security and access controls for the airline’s financial functions.
