The inaugural World Travel Market Africa is attracting exhibitors from various sectors ahead of its launch in May, organisers have revealed.
Companies focused on leisure, luxury and meetings travel will be present at the show including Dreams 4 Africa, Sunway Safaris and Cooks Air Tours and Safaris.
WTM Africa will be held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) with support from the City of Cape Town and the Western Cape Government and is expected to be the biggest ‘fam trip’ the city has seen with more than 4,500 visitors and exhibitors.
The event is running from 2-3 May as part of Africa Travel Week, which also includes ILTM Africa and IBTM Africa.
Pieter Mey, managing director of overland vehicle firm and WTM Africa exhibitor Indaba Explorations said: “We see WTM Africa as a great opportunity to showcase our services to the world and are proud to be exhibiting at the first ever WTM Africa. Tourism Africa needs a fresh new face and venue and this might well prove to be it.”
