Premier Inn has announced plans for a second hotel in Edinburgh under its ‘hub’ brand.
The new 157-room hotel will open on Rose Street in late 2015 and will follow the opening of anoter in the Caltongate around the same time.
The new hub brand has modern, compact rooms with guests able to book, check-in online and personalise their room before arrival on an app.
“As a city, Edinburgh ticks all the boxes as a perfect location for our ‘hub’ brand. It’s a popular tourist and business destination with strong demand for good value, quality hotels. We believe ‘hub’ will prove to be a tremendous success, appealing to more price sensitive customers seeking quality accommodation in the centre of the city,” said Patrick Dempsey, managing director of Premier Inn’s owners Whitbread Hotels & Restaurants.
Seven ‘hub by Premier Inn’ hotels are now in the pipeline with the first opening on London’s St Martin’s Lane this autumn.
