GALF speaker list confirmed

The forthcoming Global Airport Leaders’ Forum (GALF-2014) is gearing up well with its line-up of key decision-makers. The event is scheduled to take place from 11-13 May 2014 alongside the 14th edition of Airport Show.
The speaker list has also been confirmed for the event by an eight-member advisory board comprising of industry experts. A key theme titled – Collaborative Sustainable Airport Growth – has been chosen for this year’s gathering of global airport leaders. As many as 30 speakers will address the forum spread out in 10 sessions, each dealing with a pertinent topic of interest.
Some of the speakers include Hussein Dabbas, IATA’s regional vice president for Middle East & North Africa, Dr John D Kasarda, director, Center for Air Commerce, Kenan-Flagler Business School, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Dr Ralf Gaffal, vice president for international business at Munich Airport Concessions, Wesam Jammoul, director of digital implementation service, and Smartworld, David Fielder, global head, Health Safety Security and Environment (HSSE) among others.
Among the speakers from the UAE are Khalifa Al Zaffin, executive chairman, Dubai Aviation City Corporation, Hani Al Hamli, secretary general, Dubai Economic Council, Mohammed Al-Rais, managing director, Hill International Middle East, Tony Douglas, CEO, Abu Dhabi Airports Company and Mohammed Abdullah Ahli, director general, Dubai Civil Aviation Authority among others.
GALF will take place at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC). Last year, the event attracted over 6500 visitors from 83 countries and 225 exhibitors from 35 countries.
