The power of partnership as a force for growth – this was the strong sentiments expressed at the second Global Aerospace Summit in Abu Dhabi.
The event witnessed attendance from over 1,500 CEOs, senior executives and government officials looking at innovative collaborations. The Summit was opened by HE Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, director general of GCAA.
“Abu Dhabi steadily continues to invest in future of aviation, not just locally but internationally as well, driving industry growth. We have used this opportunity to develop our infrastructure. The UAE has also become a supplier to leading aircraft manufacturing companies,” HE Al Suwaidi.
Tony Tyler, director-general and CEO of IATA further emphasised: “Partnerships are adding value to individual airlines, increasing customer proposition and reducing costs. They are facilitating airlines across borders. These types of arrangements are becoming ever more important.”
The event witnessed a range of debates across issues with one key focus was congested airspace.
