Archipelago International has continued the expansion of its Harper Hotels brand, with two development milestones.
The Indonesian hotelier recently held a topping-out ceremony to mark the completion of construction work on the Harper Perintis Makassar, as well as a ground-breaking ceremony for the new Harper Pasteur Bandung.
The Harper Perintis Makassar will feature 159 rooms and suites, along with a coffee shop, bar, swimming pool and extensive conference facilities, including five meeting rooms and 1,100-pax capacity ballroom.
The Harper Pasteur Bandung meanwhile, is will mark the brand’s entry into the West Java city when it launches in early 2015. It will provide 170 rooms, a coffee shop, bar, swimming pool and 10 meeting rooms.
“We are extremely proud to be celebrating these two milestones for our youngest brand, Harper, which continues to add significant achievements to its ongoing success story,” said Norbert Vas, Archipelago’s vice president of sales & marketing.
“Ever since the first opening of Harper Kuta in Bali in 2013, the brand has gone from strength to strength, so these two new properties in Makassar and Bandung will make great additions to our hotel’s collection. We are also ready to open the second Harper in Yogyakarta,” he added.
Archipelago markets Harper as a brand that offers “modern accommodation, topped off with an infusion of rustic charm and a residential feel”.
