Romanian airline Blue Air has announced new flights from Liverpool to Bucharest.
The new route will commence on 15 December, having already been operating services between London to Bucharest and Bacau.
The carrier has also joined the European Regions Airline Association (ERA) to boost its presence.
Blue Air, which was founded in 2004, joins more than 50 other European airlines in the association.
Its new owners Air Management Solutions are keen to strengthen the airline’s awareness, increase its services and add to its fleet.
“We are very pleased to be joining ERA at what is a key time in European politics. We are looking forward to working with the association and other member airlines to ensure that the concerns of European regional airlines are heard and that their contribution to the economic and social development of Europe is understood,” said Gheorghe Răcaru, general director, Blue Air. “The excellent networking opportunities and regular updates on impending issues and industry news will also be of great benefit to Blue Air and its customers.”
Director general of ERA, Simon McNamara added: “The airline joins us at an exciting time in its business strategy and we are looking forward to working with Gheorghe Răcaru and his team.”
