Seaplanes arrive in Hanoi for aerial tours

Hai Au Aviation has taken delivery of two sea planes at Noi Bai airport in Hanoi.
The Cessna Grand Caravans, which can carry 12 passengers each and fly at an altitude of 150 to 3,000 metres, will be used for domestic air connections and sightseeing tours at destinations such as Halong Bay.
The company purchased three seaplanes from the US-based Cessna Aircraft Company for more than US$10 million, and the third delivery is expected before the year end.
The arrival of the third plane will see Hai Au expand services connecting Ho Chi Minh City with tourist destinations in central provinces of Khanh Hoa, Binh Thuan and southern provinces of Can Tho, An Giang, Con Dao, Phu Quoc, according to Thanhnien News.
Targeting the premium travel sector, general director of Hai Au Aviation, Luong Hoai Nam, said it will cost a passenger VND5 million (US$235) to take a 25-minute flight from Hanoi to Ha Long Bay.
