The newest Marco Polo property opened in Changzhou Thursday, with 19 acres of lush gardens and extensive meeting facilities.
Located in the city’s Xinbei District, Marco Polo Changzhou is surrounded by expansive gardens and overlooks the Zaojiang River.
Scheduled to open in phases in the next two months, the hotel will feature 271 rooms and suites in the main hotel and another 31 rooms and suites in The Mansion, including a Presidential Suite.
In phase one of the opening, the Garden Café will deliver all-day dining. The Jiulong Ya Yuan Chinese Restaurant, the Lobby Lounge, and Spanish-themed Tapas Y Vino will open in phase two.
For the MICE sector, the hotel boasts nearly 2,000m2 of indoor meeting facilities, including the pillarless Marco Polo Ballroom and 17 multi-function rooms. The expansive grounds provide a variety of outdoor venues for weddings, riverside cocktails and garden barbecues.
Other facilities will include an indoor swimming pool, fitness centre, SPA, outdoor tennis court and chess room.
Marco Polo Hotels currently operate 14 owned or managed upscale, full-service hotels throughout Hong Kong, China and the Philippines. The Group has a further eight hotels announced or currently under development, with three new hotels scheduled to open in the next 12 months.
