Aqua Expeditions will raise the standard of Mekong luxury cruises this October, with its third luxury vessel setting sail on the Mekong River in Cambodia and Vietnam.
As the cruise liner nears completion, the Peruvian style vessel is on course for its maiden voyage within the coming weeks.
Designed by Saigon-based architectural firm Noor Design, the 62.4 metre Aqua Mekong will have twenty outward-facing design suites with floor-to-ceiling windows. Communal areas include an observation deck, outdoor lounge, and swimming pool. The Aqua Mekong will also become the first cruise ship on the Mekong to offer a generous sized spa and fitness centre, library, and screening room.
Award winning chef David Thompson will take charge of the kitchens, combining the culinary traditions of Mekong River culture with the freshest ingredients. Dishes served on the Aqua Mekong will include River Prawns with Ginger, Shallots, Tamarind and Palm Sugar served on Betel Leaves and Cashew Nut Pudding with Coconut Cream.
Aqua Mekong will operate three, four, and seven-night itineraries that will run from Siem Riep down river to My Tho, near Saigon, stopping in Phnom Penh along the way. Guest will be able to enjoy daily, onshore tours and experiences.
