Salman Syed has been named as the new managing director of Thomas Cook UK.
Syed moved internally to become managing director of commercialisation at Thomas Cook UK in April 2014 and will now spearhead the company’s turnaround plans moving forward.
Reporting to chief operating officer Peter Fankhauser, Syed will be responsible for the UK business driving sustainable growth and improving customer service.

Working alongside Peter, he has made a real difference to our UK business, which is having a tangible impact on trading performance. I am confident that the UK performance will go from strength to strength under his stewardship.”
