Jet2.com has opened a new training centre in Bradford for pilots and crew.
The airline has invested GBP9.5 million in the new facility which has been specifically designed as a Simulator and Cabin Safety and Emergency Procedures training centre housing three simulators and several units and classrooms.
The centre was opened yesterday by the airline’s executive chairman Philip Meeson; CEO Steve Heapy and managing director Ian Doubtfire alongside the Deputy Lord Mayor Roger L’Amie from the City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council.
Doubtfire said: “This is undoubtedly a very exciting day for us and we are very proud to be opening such a unique facility in our home region.
“Our fleet and crew are ever expanding to meet the continued growth and success of both the airline and our Jet2holidaysbusiness so it seemed like the right time to establish our own Training Centre. It is a fantastic facility which will make a significant impact on the way we train and develop our staff.”
