Dubai has seen double-digit growth in the number of UK tourists heading to the emirate.
The 27% increase is the highest month-on-month increase in the last three years.
The figure jumped up to 70, 815 in August 2014 compared to 55, 767 in August 2013, recovering from pre-recession levels.
Its increase has come after the emirate has expanded its product particularly for families and also embarked on a UK travel agent programme to boost its profile with the UK tourism market.
Ian Scott, UK & Ireland director, Dubai Tourism said: “The increase in UK visitors we saw in August is extremely encouraging and demonstrates a very solid move towards making our ‘Tourism Vision for 2020’ a reality.
“Great things are happening in Dubai and the Emirate is working hard to expand its tourism offering to attract both new and repeat visitors with an increase in accommodation, innovative and exciting attractions and new infrastructure.”
The boost also comes after a campaign to improve the emirate’s summer bookings and encourage year-round visits.
Scott added: “We ran this extensive advertising campaign directly in the consumer media to raise awareness of Dubai’s appeal specifically in the summer and combined it with a heavy tactical campaign run in conjunction with a series of our tour operator partners to push conversion.”
