South Korean luxury hotel group Shilla has launched its first business-focused property in Seoul.
The new Shilla Stay Yeoksam hotel opened its doors in the Gangnam area of Seoul this week, marking the new brand’s debut in the Korean capital.
Shilla Stay markets itself as an “urban lifestyle” brand delivering “value for money” and a “no hassle, smart environment”.
Typical facilities will include restaurants, lobby bars and business corners with computer stations. All properties will offer free Wi-Fi.
Sticking to this concept, Shilla Stay Yeoksam offers 306 rooms and all the aforementioned brand standard facilities, plus meeting rooms and a fitness centre.
“Shilla Stay Yeoksam is a new business hotel,” explained Ted Kim, the hotel’s general manager. “We offer the values of Hotel Shilla at reasonable prices for business and leisure travellers alike.”
The brand originally launched in 2013, with the opening of the Shilla Stay Dongtan in Gyeonggi-do province, south of Seoul. And the expansion will continue in the coming years with the addition of new Shilla Stay hotels in Seoul, Ulsan and Jeju in 2015.
