Corporate travel management company BCD Travel has moved into a brand new office in the centre of Mumbai.
Located at Times Square in the Andheri commercial district of the city, the new 1,670m² office will house almost 200 staff.
“We chose to open our new office during the Navaratri festival,” said Ajay Bali, BCD’s managing director for India. “It is an auspicious occasion to celebrate the convenient, environmentally conscious, state-of-the-art working environment we’ve created for our staff.
“These facilities will accommodate both our employees’ professional development and our overall growth as we continue to expand our operations in India,” he added.
BCD has operated in India for 14 years and currently employs more than 700 people across the country. As well as the Mumbai office, the company has business travel centres in Bengaluru, Delhi, Chennai, Pune, Hyderabad and Thiruvananthapuram.
“We’ve targeted this highly competitive centre to support our multinational expansion in the Asia Pacific region,” said Greg O’Neil, the company’s president for Asia Pacific. “The next few years will be full of opportunities to build on that success by serving customers in exciting new ways. Our new centre’s capacity to drive efficiencies, consolidation and scalability for us and our clients will be fundamental to these initiatives.”
The staff at the new Mumbai office will be well catered for; as well as working space, the Times Square complex also offers large green areas, a fitness centre, lounges, shopping outlets and food courts.
