Xiamen Airlines to launch a host of new routes

From 26 October, Xiamen Airlines will expand its network out of Xiamen, Fuzhou, and Tianjin.
The carrier will launch scheduled services to key Chinese cities including Xi’an, Wuhan, Taiyuan, Jinan, Haikou and Yichang from Xiamen. From Fuzhou, the carrier will fly to Zhuhai and Kunming. From Tianjin, the airline will fly to Hangzhou, Guiyang, Chongqing and Harbin. Xiamen Airlines will also launch a daily service between several city pairs including Shanghai and Quanzhou, Changsha and Haikou, as well as Zhengzhou and Haikou, .
Besides the launch of new routes, the carrier will also increase flight frequency on routes from Xiamen to Seoul, Bangkok, and Chinese cities including Ningbo, Changchun. The airline is also looking to fly to Manila from Xiamen at the beginning of 2015. From Fuzhou, Xiamen Airlines will increase flights to Chengdu and Bangkok.
Meanwhile, the carrier continues to build up its fleet. Xiamen Airlines has deployed its first Boeing 787 on the route to Beijing from Xiamen and Fuzhou since its delivery on 6 September. The airline is expected to receive its second and third 787 later this month and in February next year respectively.
