Best Western has continued to expand in Malaysia with the signing of a new upscale hotel in the Genting Highlands.
The company has agreed to manage the brand new Best Western Premier Ion Delemen hotel, which is currently under construction and expected to open in the first quarter of 2016.
The announcement follows the recent signing of another upscale Best Western property in Kota Kinabalu.
“We are making tremendous progress with the expansion of our portfolio in Malaysia, especially in terms of our high-end hotel products,” said Glenn de Souza, Best Western’s vice president of international operations for Asia & Middle East.
“Best Western Premier Ion Delemen is another wonderful example of the quality of hotel we are now offering in this exciting country. With services and facilities comparable to any international five-star brand, these stylish hotels represent the new face of Best Western in Asia.”
Located in the central hills of Peninsular Malaysia, the 500-room hotel will feature a ‘sky lobby’ where guests can check-in overlooking the forest canopy. The Sky Café, garden and rooftop deck will also offer views of the surrounding hills, while other facilities include an infinity-edged swimming pool, a spa, fitness centre, sauna, events hall, restaurant and children’s playground.
Best Western currently operates four hotels in Malaysia, but this portfolio will jump to at least 16 properties in the next three years.
