Tianjin Airlines has launched two new scheduled services to Japan.
The Chinese carrier, which is part of the HNA Group, commenced flights from Tianjin’s Binhai International Airport to the cities of Hakodate and Sapporo, both of which lie on the northern island of Hokkaido.
Services to Sapporo’s New Chitose International Airport launched on 2 November and will now operate twice a week, every Friday and Sunday.
Then on 4 November, Tianjin Airlines launched twice weekly flights to Hakodate Airport, with services running every Tuesday and Thursday. All the new flights are operated using an Airbus A320 aircraft.
Tianjin Airlines already operates scheduled flights to Okinawa and Shizuoka, so the new routes double the carrier’s Japanese presence to four destinations.
