Britain’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) today launches a new online course designed to improve industry compliance with ATOL regulations.
The online certification will ensure agents have a thorough understanding of the obligations to consumers and the legal requirements which are needed by ATOL holders to sell air holidays and trade within the law. The training course, which takes around an hour to complete, covers what an ATOL holder needs to know in respect of selling flights and holidays, dealing with consumers, monitoring its business and working with the CAA.
Andy Cohen, head of ATOL at the CAA, said: “The vast majority of ATOL holders are compliant but there is a minority who are not. This move will help ATOL holders comply with the ATOL regulations and reduce the number of compliance issues we currently see across different aspects, from advertising and selling to consumers, to providing us with the correct information when we require it.”
