SkyTeam has opened a new lounge at Sydney Airport.
The new ‘Exclusive Lounge’ is designed to serve the premium passengers and frequent flyers of seven SkyTeam member carriers that serve Sydney: China Airlines, China Eastern, China Southern, Delta Air Lines, Garuda Indonesia, Korean Air and Vietnam Airlines.
Marking the first SkyTeam Exclusive Lounge in the southern hemisphere, the new facility has a capacity of 140 seats, all with electrical outlets. Passengers will be offered free Wi-Fi and printing services, plus complimentary F&B, including a champagne and wine bar. Other facilities include showers, four massage chairs and a TV room.
“It is our duty to add value to our members’ businesses and with seven SkyTeam carriers present in Australia, we look to provide enhanced benefits through our customer initiatives such as this new lounge,” said Michael Wisbrun, SkyTeam’s managing director.
“It is a great way to kick off our 15th anniversary year, with a new lounge delivering benefits for customers and synergies for members.”
The new lounge will be managed by Plaza Premium Lounge Management on behalf of SkyTeam.
Other SkyTeam Exclusive Lounges are currently available at London’s Heathrow Airport and Istanbul’s Atatürk Airport, but the concept will be expanded significantly this year, with new facilities expected to open in Dubai, Beijing and Hong Kong.
