Founding partner of Bolsover Cruise Club Audrey Wilson has passed away, the cruise agent confirmed today.
Wilson ran the then-named Bolsover Travel in the early 1980s and played a pivotal role in its growth from a local independent travel agent to the cruise specialist it is today.
During the transition she was joined at the firm by husband Derek, son Michael and daughter Julie.
The cruise agent’s blog read: “Friday 30th January marked a sad day for everyone here at Bolsover Cruise Club, and indeed the cruise industry as a whole, with the passing of founding partner Audrey Wilson…In more recent years, Audrey’s devotion to Bolsover Cruise Club has been unwavering, with an active and valued consultancy role held until very recently. As the company continues to grow, it holds a special place in its heart for the unsung hero so pivotal in its creation.”
