Serbia is in the spotlight for Abu Dhabi in terms of new markets.
A five-member delegation recently participated in the Belgrade Tourism Fair in Serbia to tap the emerging outbound tourism market from the Balkans.
The Abu Dhabi participants included Etihad Airways, Le Meridien Abu Dhabi Hotel, Al Burj Travel and Tours, St Regis Saadiyat Island Resort and Bin Majid Hotels and Resorts and Nehal hotel.
“The Serbian market is as one with potential for growing leisure and corporate markets following the integration of Air Serbia into Etihad Airways Partners network,” said Mubarak Al Nuaimi, director, promotions and overseas offices, TCA Abu Dhabi.
“This year’s show attracted 70,000 visitors. There was significant interest in our range of attractions, resorts and experiences which we are confident will convert into bilateral business for our partners,” added Al Nuaimi.
HE Juma Rashid Al Dhaheri, UAE ambassador to Serbia and HE Jasem Al Darmaki, acting director general TCA Abu Dhabi hosted Aleksandar Vucic, Serbian Prime Minister and Rasim Ljajic, deputy prime minister and minister of foreign and domestic trade and telecommunications.
